  • Provide quality eco-tours while minimizing disturbance to wildlife by keeping guests at appropriate distances whether inside an observatory or in the external environment
  • Provide educational opportunities which conform to the NZ School Curriculum
  • Embrace the cultural heritage context of our location and inform others of its importance as part of the visitor experience. As well, adhere to all regulations in regard to protection of sacred and historic sites
  • Maintain a positive impact on the albatross environment by working with DoC on habitat enhancement and predator control programs to minimize or eliminate exotic flora and fauna on the headland
  • Responsibly deliver waste from the headland to registered landfill destinations and recycling glass, paper, food and other items where possible
  • Support local community groups and organizations in kind to complement their Peninsula activities
  • Promote other attractions, accommodation providers and retailers on the Peninsula and encourage clients to give them custom
