whanui. A wonderful opportunity to experience the Maori
history of the area through stories and observations.

the attractions of Taiaroa Head. Breeding colonies of Shags,
Royal Spoon -bills, Little Blue Penguins and Fur Seals are
just a few of the highlights.

year. Kate Hewson will show you the stomach contents of
an albatross and share some of her adventures with Albatross
from other parts of the world. Rate the rubbish from your
local beach and your lunch box in terms of harm to marine
life and think about what you can do to stop the plastic
tide.

Albatross Centre and follow the trail to look at how humans interact with the
environment in positive and negative ways.
